Biography

Bonita has been performing in musical theatre, singing, choreographing, directing and producing for over 22 years.

She has played leading roles throughout the North of England in musicals as diverse as ‘Jekyll and Hyde’, ‘Singing in the rain’ and ‘Acorn Antiques’, for which she won the ACT award for best actor in a musical in the North West for her portrayal of Miss Babs. She has also just completed a hugely successful sell-out run of  Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Evita' playing the lead role of Eva Peron to great acclaim.

In 2004, Bonita was a finalist in the Channel 4 documentary ‘Musicality’ following the search for a new Roxie and Velma for the West End musical ‘Chicago’.

Over the years she has also sung with rock and country bands and has extensive experience singing on the corporate and cabaret circuit.

In 2011, she decided to combine her performing experience with her passion for glamour and won the title of Slippery Belle North West’s best new artiste. Since then she has gone on to appear at various prestigious venues, including The Lowry, Manchester.

Bonita now appears as a singer and song and dance entertainer at a variety of venues and events nationwide, including Vintage fairs, Armed forces days, Wartime events, Burlesque shows, corporate functions, 1920's, 30's, 40's and 50's nights.

She also produces and stars in her own spectacular variety shows, with top national and international acts, which are performed in a large theatre to an audience in a Cabaret style atmosphere.
